The year 2025 will be a good one for movie blockbusters. We are getting more Marvel movies, which have died down a little after the Avengers series, and a Minecraft movie, so this is definitely something to look forward to. This year’s movies are a bit like live roulette offers on Australian market – you have plenty of great options to choose from, and you are invited to have a go at pretty much anything you like!
Without further ado, let’s dive into the best movies of the year – or at least the movies that fans are stoked about and expect to be the best ones indeed! There are plenty of arguably fantastic options, with a handful including:

A Minecraft Movie Teaser
Jack Black is coming for a taste of what could be possibly one of the very best flicks of 2025! Yes, we mean that – a Minecraft movie is in the works, and the teaser promises to be every bit as fun as the game itself. It’s not just Black to watch out for in this one, however, as you will similarly see Jason Momoa, Jennifer Coolidge, and a number of other prominent actors coming together for this one.
Freaky Tales
Up next, we have Freaky Tales, which is set in 1987 Oakland, California, and it focuses on the city’s multi-cultural background and diversity. It’s not what you would expect from the title, but Tom Hanks, Ben Mendelsohn and Pedro Pascal make sure that you are having the best time watching this movie.
The Amateur
Rami Malek finds himself in a familiar bind – he is a genius who has been put in a difficult position as a talented, intelligent CIA decoder who is once again enmeshed in a conspiracy to figure out who killed his month. There are numerous stark turns in the upcoming movie promised already, with Malek playing his role superbly and no doubt having been prepared for this acting job from his time in Mr. Robot, a rather distressing dystopian series about the world being controlled by a cabal of wealthy people.
Warfare
Warfare is a movie about a group of American soldiers who get pinned down in Iraq, and the odds are against them. Will they make it out alive, or are they going to fall victim to mob violence and insurgents? The movie is the work of directors Ray Mendoza and Alex Garland, who previously worked on the 2024 Civil War movie, which was another gut-wrenching war flick about opportunity, good men going to war, and the injustice and futility of war as a whole. It’s most certainly one of the best-anticipated blockbuster movies of the year!
The Accountant 2
The Accountant franchise is back with a new installment – its second. The movie focuses on Christian Wolff, Ben Affleck, who is running a money-laundering operation for different criminal types. Getting rich in the process, the accountant is quickly going to get in hot water with authorities, backstabbing partners, and have to deal with the criminal types themselves who are – let’s face it, not at all happy with their accountant not doing what they tell them.
Thunderbolts
Marvel is back, and the company will be trying to introduce the supervillains-turned-heroes story that will focus on the franchise’s and universe’s most iconic bad boys (and girls). These characters are all morally ambiguous, and they have suddenly found themselves in a situation where they will go through a personal catharsis in order to make it so that fans can relate. Will Marvel’s latest flick flop? We are about to see each other!
Superman
Speaking of superhero movies… the more you get, the better, as Roulette77 would usually say about some of the best gaming options available to players out there. Yes, a new Superman is coming, and it’s most certainly the most anticipated movie of the year (or one thereof). But what are the best Superman movies, you may wonder?
David Corenswet will take the lead in this new one, and Henry Cavill will not be returning, which is going to disappoint a lot of people. To be perfectly frank, reboots are quite confusing and messy, and why people keep doing the same franchise over and over again is anyone’s guess. Well, with this said, we are hoping Corenswet’s Superman will be worth seeing!
