Movie: Monty Python and the Holy Grail
The Holy Grail is the greatest comedy ever made. It is outrageously original and infinitely quotable. To try to pick just one memorable scene in this masterpiece is not feasible, but the encounter with King Arthur and the Black Knight was inspired.
After the vanquishing of an unnamed foe, The Black Knight silently rebuffed Arthur’s advances, and the battle began. What looked like a certain rout of King Arthur and his toady Paddy, became a series of tiered-amputations, that left the Black Knight nothing more than a chirping and bleeding stump on the ground.
There was no more disrespect for the traveling coconut-clompers after this display of aggression. Arthur was the King, after all.
